Perhaps I should have seen the demise of h2g2, and the fact that Everything2 seems to have lost its creative spark as signposts at the entrance to the road of this column. Perhaps they were trying to tell me "watch out, it may be fun at first, but soon you'll just start going around in circles". Which can be fun, but really doesn't lead anywhere ... beyond an obvious association.
