How do you know?

Educators today are very concerned with helping their students learn how to evaluate the validity of materials found on the web. And with so much disinformation making the rounds, that's a legitimate concern. Numerous guideines and pointers designed to delineate the evaluation process have been drawn up. What I find disturbing, however, is that many of these educators, in their own internet use, seem oblivious to those same guidelines and, judging by the amount of legends and hoaxes they forward, never check their sources.
