This time it really fits.


I've used the phrase "after all" numerous times in these columns. It's a phrase that creates a bit of a conversational tone that I try to maintain - perhaps because if I can't picture myself speaking to someone as I write, I won't be able to write at all. This time, however, it's not just conversational. There's definitely something that causes me to raise an eyebrow when within the same paragraph, perhaps the same sentence, and even the same breath, I waver between hi-and-lo tech.
