Too many filters spoil the blog.
Blogging demands immediacy. As readers we're often willing to excuse spelling
errors and sloppy writing because by doing so we're able to get a jolt of raw
thought, a reaction that hasn't been sifted and screened, that hasn't been cleaned
up for popular consumption. With blogging, a gut reaction can often be more meaningful
than an overly processed one. Other media exist that allow us to publicly express our thoughts
when we're convinced that they've become sufficiently developed that we're willing to let others see them. Blogs invite spontaneity. By forcing myself
to check and review my Hebrew I'm continually aware of the fact that I'm trumping
myself.
