As I trust Weinberger would agree, the history or the organization of information that he outlines for us isn't the only possible history that might be written. If everything really is miscellaneous, we should be able to make good use of various histories, each emphasizing a different aspect of the process of accumulating, organizing, disseminating, and perhaps even losing information. Would any of these be the correct history? That, of course, would be a matter of interpretation, which is pretty much the point anyway.
