There's nothing new about not adjusting to new technologies. The inability of many adults to stop the 00:00 on their VCRs from continually flashing has become an established part of technological folklore, if not urban legend, and has stayed with us well after the VCR itself has ceased to be a living room staple. It shouldn't surprise us that many people are able to open their browsers and get to the desired web page and still have no idea of how they really got there, nor even that what they're using is called a browser. For them it's "the internet", and it's far from obvious that there's anything wrong with this lack of knowledge.
