I don’t have a Facebook account, so I can’t write from my own experience, but I’ve heard numerous friends and family exclaim, often with unmasked exasperation, that they're no longer able to find items in their feed that only yesterday were very prominently displayed. Sometimes I try to explain to them that they're not supposed to find those items, but instead to simply keep up with what's new. I don't think that Lady Macbeth was suggesting we go with the flow when she remarked that What's done is done, but for many users who with exasperation exclaim that "it was there just a few minutes ago" it may be pretty much the same thing.
