The fact that the nine year old column referred to here delved into Gordon Bell's My Life Bits project featured in last month's column is a coincidence. But it certainly wasn't only a coincidence, or a totally random one. Bell's project, like the considerably less obsessive photographs that tourists take, dealt with memory, so it made sense that I referred to it back then. The coincidental part is that this and last month's columns are contiguous.
