What's so obvious about that?

Since when does it make sense to assume that a tool that was once "simply" a search engine for finding relevant web pages now knows more about me than my mother ever did, and thus can, unsolicited, offer me information about my interests. Google knows when someone has logged into my account from an out of the ordinary location, and will ask me whether this was really me. In the not too distant future perhaps after I confirm that this really was me, Google will tell me that my calendar tells it that I should be somewhere else. I guess that in the past when I'd lie to my mother I felt guilty. At present, at least, I find the idea of feeling guilty about lying to my search engine more than just a bit strange.
