Yes, again. But quietly, please.

It's been quite a while since I last found an opportunity to quote from Norton Juster's The Phantom Tollbooth. Perhaps too long. Milo's adventures in the book offer me many metaphors that can enhance the ideas I try to raise here, so why not make the best of them. I first linked to the book, and to the concept of going without saying thirteen years ago. Since then I've found a number of additional opportunities to link to other ideas in the book, but this seems to be the proper place to return to one of my favorites. And now we can quietly continue forward in this column.
