Past or present?

Did I try, or am I trying? For anyone reading this the answer is obviously past tense - I tried. But for me it's very much present tense - I'm thinking into my keyboard and reflecting on what The Boidem was and why it makes sense to acknowledge that it's reached the end of its run. I'm not just explaining this to a possible reader. I'm trying to make sense to myself. Chances, however, are good that I'm overthinking this. The simplest answer is that it's time.
