Sometimes I just can't find anything to link the date to

You'd think that with so many days in the year there's always at least one small item that merits being linked to in my ongoing saga of date links. Maybe it's a case of my setting my standards too high, but this time I simply couldn't find something that seemed right - in addition to the fact that originally the process was quite the opposite. Previously, instead of searching for a link because I needed to find one to go with that asterix, the links called out to me, yelling "hey, look at me, I'm a significant occurrence that deserves to be linked instead of forgotten with the rest of history's dustbin events", and my job was simply to do the salvaging.

Originally I thought that perhaps I could link to Tu B'Shvat, perhaps something having to do with much of the information I've used for this column coming from newspaper clippings rather than from web sites, and of course newspaper clippings link to trees which link to Tu B'Shvat. But the date of the holiday wasn't really very close to the date of the column, and the connection itself was a bit forced, so it was simply easier to admit defeat. Sorry, no extra added date link this time.
