Allusions to the hypertextual qualities of the Talmud notwithstanding, my first serious encounter with hypertext that I can recall was the novel Hopscotch by Julio Cortazar. I still hope that I'll get around to writing a column devoted to that fascinating book.

I'm probably linked to Eastgate Systems a number of times in the past. That's the place to watch for hypertextual fiction.
