A good way to get source material.

Considering that many people write their papers from the end to the beginning, deciding upon what they want to say and then looking for sources to support them, the Wikipedia can be a wonderful means of citing a convincing source. All you have to do is write it yourself and post it to the Wikipedia (or edit an existing source so that it supports your point of view) and then quote it. It's sort of a technological continuation of the old game of quoting bibliographical materials that you've made up.
