Sort of a corollary.

Moore's law deals with the rate at which computing power increases, but directed related to the law is the rate at which our computers become outdated. Newer, more powerful, and invariably cheaper (or at least more power for the same price) computers are constantly coming onto the market, and if we decide to wait until a newer model reaches the stores we'll undoubtedly find ourselves not buying anything.

There are people who claim that this classification of computers is a gross understatement. From their perspective, Sally and her husband certainly don't have to wait a full week before any new computer they might buy becomes obsolete.
