What? No link?


We may actually have come a long way. Though we still don't have active links in newspapers that allow us to click (well, let's say press) on a word in an article and be brought to a web page in our computers, when newspaper articles mention web pages, only rarely will they not include the relevant URLs. It wasn't always that way. I well remember when the web was new that newspaper articles would tell us of a particular site, yet not tell us how to get there. Perhaps the expectation was that anybody who might really want to use this strange tool called the web would already know how to find the site, and that anybody else wouldn't even consider trying. Perhaps they were even right.
