Of course the Tanakh got there first (or at least tanakhik exegesis did), but it gets said about cyberspace as well, and sometimes these pages even try to prove it. Over the years I've created links to pages that hadn't yet been created, or added links to columns dated later than the original entry. Thus just what I have to do in order to get ahead of myself is rather unclear. The Red Queen from the Looking Glass had to run as fast as she could just to stay in one place, but in this case it's not a question of running, but rather of determining a set order of development. Academia tends to demand that sort of thing. Cyberspace doesn't. Come to think of it, I doubt that Real Life does either.
